After declining in 2020/21 in connection with the COVID-19 crisis, in the business year 2021/22 voestalpine once again substantially increased investment in R&D. In fact, the total of EUR 173.8 million even sets a new all-time high. The R&D budget for the business year 2022/23 is EUR 195 million. This continues previous years’ upward trend and reflects the great importance that the Group attaches to research and development.
