“We must change our view of the world and leave the beaten path. Especially in times of uncertainty and change, it is particularly important to have a clear image of the future before you. My personal image of the voestalpine Group in the year 2030: 60 to 70% of our revenue will come from outside Europe. And we will still be the leading steel company, not only in quality and technology, but also in energy efficiency and environmental issues.”
Dipl.-Ing. Franz Rotter

1 A new organizational structure of the Special Steel Division, which is focused on the two core business segments of high performance metals and special forging, became effective as of April 1, 2010. On the same effective date, the welding technology and precision strip segments were transferred to the Railway Systems and Profilform Divisions, respectively. In order to enable a better means of comparison, the previous year’s figures of the Special Steel Division were adjusted accordingly.
